Clea hand painted John Rocha’s fabrics, designed the literature for his Paris show in 1994 as well as designing his ‘three moon logo’. Her painted cross was a central feature of the collection. When Rocha held his first pret a porter fashion show in Paris, Rocha provided van der Grijn with reams of silk for her to paint, he then used the end result as the actual fabric worn by the models. She also provided all the artwork on the show catalogue and hand made 300 invitations. The hand painted clothes are on show in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. It was Rocha’s recommendation that secured the commission for the Morrison Hotel painting installations in 1998.
